ABOUT TURF SHOES
Turf is a premium footwear brand creating timeless flats for a woman’s everyday moments. Rooted in Scandinavian design, our shoes balance chic, modern style with all-day comfort, designed to move effortlessly through the many roles and occasions of daily life.
Designed in Sweden and handcrafted in Spain, each pair is made using next-generation vegan and sustainable materials, including apple-skin uppers - a bio-based material derived as a byproduct of the beverage and jam industries - and recycled rubber outer soles. We also use post-consumer ocean and land fibers across selected uppers. Both apple-skin and post-consumer fibers are exceptionally soft, breathable and of premium quality, offering a leather-like feel without compromise. Our silhouettes are thoughtfully engineered for a precise fit - never too wide, never too narrow - with slightly padded insoles featuring Wabsortex technology for odor control and sweat absorption.
Turf embraces a playful yet refined design sensibility, offering a considered palette of colors that feel both modern and wearable. We believe in building a wardrobe of front-of-closet essentials, not one perfect pair, but a collection. Our vision is a permanent edit of 8-10 core styles - ballet flats, Mary Janes, loafers - designed to be mixed, matched and relied on for every occasion.
Each Turf pair is packaged in a recycled, double-lined cotton Japanese knot bag, replacing the traditional cardboard shoe box, and designed for reuse.
At our core, Turf is committed to slow fashion: responsible design, ethical production and durability. Animal welfare is central to our values, and we proudly partner with and donate to Born Free, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting wildlife and ending animal cruelty.
THOUGHTFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP
Every Turf shoe is hand-crafted in Spain by skilled artisans at our family-owned partner factory, where decades of shoemaking expertise meet modern innovation.
Design begins in Sweden before moving to Spain, where each silhouette is brought to life with precision and care. We carefully source future-minded materials and fabrics that are ethical, sustainable and circular - while also delivering high comfort and performance. All our materials are sourced within Europe, including our apple-skin from Italy and other responsibly selected components.
We take a considered approach to every step - from design to materials to construction - ensuring each pair delivers on style, comfort, quality and longevity. Our process reflects a commitment to slow fashion: producing thoughtfully, in smaller quantities, with a focus on lasting wear over excess.
WHY CIRCULAR MATTERS
Turf uses next-generation vegan materials - certified sustainable - that outperform animal leather in quality and breathability, pushing the boundaries of what footwear can achieve while setting a new standard for innovation and responsibility.
For decades, animal leather has been positioned as the benchmark for luxury shoes, yet its environmental and ethical costs are significant. Deforestation, pollution and the cruelty of factory farming disrupt ecosystems and harm both animals and our planet.
For us, sustainability means designing with intention - from sourcing high-performing, future-minded materials to low-impact production, planet-friendly packaging, and a long-lasting lifecycle. We also minimize unnecessary waste by forgoing traditional cardboard shoe boxes and instead delivering every pair in a recycled, double-lined cotton Japanese knot bag, designed to be reused again and again.
